IFOY AWARD 2016: Jungheinrich wins "Special Vehicle" category
The IFOY Award 2015 in the category "Special Vehicle" goes to the EJQ from Jungheinrich AG in Hamburg. The EJQ was developed for the Deutsche Bahn rail company to permit the loading and separation of the wheel sets for the ICE trains and the wheel set changer.
IFOY AWARD 2016: Crowns wins “Warehouse Truck lowlifter” category
The IFOY Award in the category "Warehouse Truck lowlifter" goes to the newly developed RT 4020 stand-up rider pallet truck from Crown.
IFOY AWARD 2016: BYD ECB18C voted World's best Counter Balanced Truck of the Year
The IFOY Award in the category "Counter Balanced Truck up to 3.5 t" goes to the newly developed ECB18C from BYD (Build Your Dreams). In a tight finish, the winner was the 80-volt lithium-ion stacker – the first time a Chinese made-vehicle has been crowned the world's best forklift truck of the year.
IFOY Test Days 2016: jury tests nominated forklift and warehouse trucks
The excitement was almost tangible: during the testing days for the International Forklift Truck of the Year, IFOY for short, on February 24 and 25 at the Hannover Messe trade fair venue, 25 jury members tested the nominated vehicles from manufacturers BYD, Crown, Jungheinrich, SSI Schäfer, Still und Toyota that had previously been nominated for the final round. 100 invited guests made the trip to Hannover to watch the tests as they were being carried out in Hall 9.
IFOY AWARD invites applications for new jury members
As was announced in Munich, the IFOY Award is inviting applications for up to four new jury members. Applications will be accepted from editors-in-chief of logistics and business magazines worldwide which cover the topics of intralogistics and materials handling equipment. Deadline is March 15, 2016.

Unterföhring near Munich, January 12, 2016. The IFOY organisation has announced the nominations for the IFOY Award 2016. 13 trucks and solutions from BYD, Crown, Jungheinrich, SSI Schäfer, Still and Toyota Material Handling have been chosen for the final round from all the entries.
"All in all, 16 companies submitted entries this year and put forward an extremely wide range of products for the award. These 13 vehicles and solutions are the best of the best in terms of innovation", says Anita Würmser, Chairperson of the IFOY Jury.
CHEP named pallet partner for IFOY AWARD
Unterföhring near Munich/Cologne, Jan 11, 2016. This year's IFOY test pallets are blue. Chep GmbH in Cologne will be providing the containers and pallets for the one-week IFOY test at the trade fair site in Hannover from February 18 to 25, 2016. An agreement to this effect was signed in Munich in January.
