CHEP remains pallet partner of the IFOY AWARD

The pooling network will continue to provide pallets and containers for the IFOY TEST DAYS of the IFOY AWARD in the future.

IFOY TEST DAYS 2021 will take place at the Messe Dortmund exhibition center from March 22 to 26.

Ismaning near Munich, January 5, 2021. The test pallets and containers for the IFOY AWARD will remain blue in the coming years. The pooling network CHEP has extended the contract as an official partner of the IFOY AWARD and will continue to provide various load carriers for the IFOY TEST DAYS.

“We have been supporting the IFOY AWARD for more than five years and look forward to continuing our cooperation as official partner”, says Katrin Zeiler, Senior Director Zero Waste World, Customer Innovation & Solutions Europe at CHEP. “Our vision is to take a leading role in co-designing waste free intralogistics standards and frameworks through collaborative innovation programmes. This is our contribution to the decarbonization and waste eradication global challenges companies and supply chains are facing. Partnering with the IFOY AWARD and working with all the participants is key to this vision.”

“The promotion of innovation, energy efficiency and sustainable solutions in intralogistics is a key purpose of the IFOY AWARD. With its approach of avoiding waste in the supply chain and promoting sustainable closed-loops in logistics, CHEP is therefore the ideal partner for the load carriers at the IFOY TEST DAYS“, emphasizes Anita Würmser, chairwoman of the IFOY AWARD jury.

The International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY AWARD) has established itself as an indicator of economic efficiency and innovation and is regarded as the leading innovation award in intralogistics. The jury, with its members being the chief editors of leading international logistics media, makes its decisions independently, according to transparent criteria and on the basis of professional expertise. The decision is based on the three-stage audit. The products and solutions nominated for the final will undergo individually tailored driving or functional tests during the IFOY TEST DAYS, including the IFOY test protocol comprising around 80 criteria and the scientific IFOY Innovation Check. It is crucial that the nominees are not compared with each other, but with their competitors on the market.

The next IFOY TEST DAYS will take place at the Messe Dortmund exhibition center from March 22 to 26. The sponsor of the IFOY AWARD, which is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, is the VDMA Sector Association for Materials Handling and Intralogistics.

CHEP is part of the Brambles Group and operates in approximately 60 countries with its largest operations in North America and Western Europe. CHEP employs approximately 11,000 people and owns 330 million pallets, crates and containers through a network of more than 750 service centres, supporting more than 500,000 customer touch-points for global brands such as Procter & Gamble, Sysco and Nestlé.
