IFOY AWARD 2021
Dortmund: New location for IFOY TEST DAYS

Messe Dortmund

The International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) AWARD is moving the IFOY TEST DAYS and the TEST CAMP Intralogistics 2021 from Hannover to Dortmund. All products and solutions nominated for the IFOY AWARD 2021 will be presented there from March 22 to 26 to the critical eyes of the official testers, the IFOY jury from 19 countries and the expert team of the IFOY Innovation Check. The location for the parallel events is the Dortmund Trade Fair Centre. The more than 8,300 square metre hall 4, flooded with daylight, not only offers space for the driving tests, but also plenty of room for setting up special test areas and presentation stands of the nominated companies.

“If, then here. The advertising slogan of the Metropole Ruhr sums it up: With Messe Dortmund we have found a location that fulfils all our expectations and offers us the best opportunity to further expand the TEST CAMP Intralogistics as a test event for decision-makers from industry, trade and logistics services”, says Anita Würmser, Executive Chairwoman of the IFOY AWARD.

“The Ruhr region is one of the top logistics regions in Germany because of its central location, available human resources and good infrastructure. Dortmund, with the Fraunhofer IML and many other institutions, is the heart of European logistics research. We are delighted to have been able to bring the world's most important intralogistics competition to Dortmund with the IFOY AWARD, which brings international logistics media and trade visitors. At the same time, Messe Dortmund can expand its portfolio with another attractive B2B field with the TEST CAMP Intralogistics”, adds Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe GmbH.

With the motto “IFOY meets Business”, B2B trade visitors from the logistics sector will again be invited to attend during the IFOY TEST DAYS on two days in 2021, on March 25 and 26. The TEST CAMP Intralogistics gives logistics decision-makers the opportunity to do test drives, test equipment and have intensive technical discussions with company representatives who have made it to the IFOY AWARD finals with their products and solutions. Nominated vehicles and solutions from previous years will also be presented. At the beginning of 2020, decision-makers from renowned companies such as BMW, Porsche, Rewe, Siemens and Dachser took part at the camp. A comprehensive hygiene concept has been developed for the event, which is limited to 100 B2B trade visitors in 2021.

The Westfalenhallen company group is known for its trade fairs, conferences and concerts. It has state-of-the-art technology and is characterised among other things by its central location with good transport links. For example, the venue can be easily reached from the airports in Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, by train via Dortmund's main railway station and by car via the motorway 40 and the B1 trunk road.
