Sascha Schmel
Ständiges Mitglied der Jury "Elder Statesman"
Sascha Schmel (Jahrgang 1978) ist Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur und Geschäftsführer des Fachverband Fördertechnik und Intralogistik im VDMA.
Als Ständiges Mitglied der Jury ohne Stimmrecht vertritt Schmel den Träger des IFOY Award, den VDMA Fachverband Fördertechnik und Logistiksysteme.
Schmel studierte an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Nach Abschluss seines Studiums (Diplom) und einer Zwischenstation in der Industrie kam er 2005 als Referent für öffentlich rechtliche Vorschriften im Maschinenbau zum VDMA. 2008 wechselte er in den Fachverband Fördertechnik und Logistiksysteme und leitete bis November 2012 die Fachabteilung Flurförderzeuge. Im Dezember 2012 wurde Schmel zum Geschäftsführer des Fachverbandes ernannt.
