The nominees are ...

The nominations for the International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award 2013 are in. In the first selection round, the jury chose twelve trucks and solutions from a total of five manufacturers for the final round from all the entries. Newly developed trucks, trucks that represent further developments or special models with significant technical improvements that have come onto the European market since June 15, 2011 were eligible for the award.

Which trucks are ultimately chosen for the IFOY Award 2013 will depend in large measure on the results of the IFOY Test, which all nominated trucks have to undergo over a period of one week on the trade fair grounds of Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover. Among other things, the IFOY Award, which is under the patronage of the German Economics Ministry, assesses innovative quality, technology, design, ergonomics, handling, safety, cost effectiveness and sustainability. The key criteria for system solutions include novel/innovative quality, customer benefit, sustainability and marketability of the entered solution.
The winner of the International Forklift Truck of the Year Award in each category will be selected in March by a jury made up of internationally reputed trade journalists and Europe's leading logistics media. The IFOY Award will be presented for the first time on June 4, 2013 in Munich in cooperation with the world's leading fair for intralogistics, CeMAT, at the CeMAT@transport logistic.
