Theo Egberts (born 1963) is head tester and jury member (without voting rights) of the IFOY AWARD.

Theo studied journalism and started his career in 1985 as a corporate journalist at the Dutch telecommunications company (PTT Telecom). After a career at the Noordervliet publishing house as Editor-in-Chief of the trade magazine Tendens (Sport Retail), he moved to the Misset publishing house in 1988 as editor of the trade magazine LogistiekKrant. In the same year, he started testing forklift trucks and warehouse equipment.

In 1996, he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the trade journal Transport+Opslag.

In 1999, he began his freelance career as Co-Owner of Buro Andersom. The editorial office specializes in writing journalistic articles for various magazines and companies in the intralogistics sector. In addition to writing, photography and videography also became an essential part of his portfolio.

Theo has also been organizing the Dutch Forklift Championship NKIT, which focuses on safety and productivity, for over 20 years. He also offers this service for internal company driving safety competitions. The testing of industrial trucks is still one of his specialties.
