The MOFFETT E5-NX e-Series electric truck mounted forklift is the world’s first all-electric Moving Mast, 4-way (Multidirectional) truck mounted forklift. Within the dimensions of an existing M5 machine, the producer has been able to install batteries, motors, controllers, etc.,to fully electrify the forklift. The M5 is known for its off-road / rough terrain capabilities, which now also can be carried out fully electric.

Typically truck mounted forklifts are used in many applications around the world, for example building materials, wood, gas, beverage/food/last mile deliveries, agriculture (turf, animal food) and many more. There is an increasing demand for lower or zero emissions and noise free deliveries (i.e. mornings or at night) which is a challenge for current diesel driven forklifts. With the new e-Series it will now be possible to deliver emission-free, noise-free and even delivering indoor directly from the delivery truck. With a truck mounted forklift, no extra staff is needed, which is an advantage in Europe and the countries that struggle with driver shortages, and it’s also inline with the safety regulations due to Covid-19.

• Low noise: Ultra low noise means the machine can be used out of hours without disturbing the surrounding environment. Another plus is that the operator does not need ear protection. e-Series have been awarded the Quiet-Mark, a global certification program that identifies the quietest products in multiple categories.
• Outside to inside deliveries are possible due to zero emission and ultra low noise, providing increased flexibility and the ability to deliver more in less time, exactly where it is needed!
• Reduced vibration: No engine means reduced vibration, smoother operation and less fatigue for the operator.
• Increased safety: Steering speeds can be controlled to secure safe operation. Low noise means the operator is more aware of the surroundings..

• Fleet Management: All MOFFETT e-Series NX machines are fitted with Hi-Connect, which will monitor over 100 machine parameters and display some of them on the HMI and others on the Hi-Connect portal. Parameters range from battery capacity to delivery route and time, driver safety and service notifications

Market relevance

With the upcoming demands for zero or lower emissions and reduction of noise, the electric truck mounted forklift is a break-through innovation for the logistic world. World-wide around 7,000 – 8,000 truck mounted forklifts are sold, till today almost all with diesel engine, so far MOFFETT is the only manufacturer who offers fully electric machines.

MOFFETT E5 25.4 NX is the latest addition to the fully electric range of truck mounted forklifts and part of the second generation series of the world’s first fully electric truck mounted forklift, now also with 4-way steering (multidirectional) and the first Moving Mast machine. The E5-NX is the second model in the next generation e-Series range in the MOFFETT journey to fully electrify the complete truck-mounted forklift range.
