The increasing shortage of employees as well as the global challenges of the supply chain are significantly raising the pressure to automate the intralogistics processes. Ident Pro´s digitalization solution creates the necessary conditions for this. We create the digital twin in real time (RTLS), in which we consistently and automatically track every single transport of a good to the accuracy of centimeters using lidar technology. For this purpose, we equip all existing vehicles (manned & automated, manufacturer-independent) with IoT sensor technology, which permanently records current 3D information about the movement of the goods in the warehouse as well as the surrounding room geometry. Via W-LAN or LTE, the system is in constant exchange with all the industrial trucks in use. This makes it possible to analyze empty runs, search times and inefficient storage scenarios. This data forms the input for our intelligent algorithms. The result is a smart allocation of transport orders in real time with efficiency increases of between 20 to 30%.

Conclusion: Based on the complete data situation, not only does productivity increase, but it also creates the basis for smart automation. Only twin technology can orchestrate & control both the guided and the unmanned vehicles from one system.
