The IFOY AWARD (International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award) is an independent organization.
Its purpose is to recognize the best intralogistics products and solutions of the year and also to develop activities to evaluate technical and strategic excellence in intralogistics and to initiate innovations.<\/p>

The IFOY organization has set itself the goal of establishing the IFOY AWARD as the definitive prize for outstanding performance, supported by an international jury of renowned trade journalists and representatives of the leading logistics media in the respective markets. The IFOY organization evaluates according to transparent criteria, independently and on the basis of professional expertise. <\/p>

The IFOY AWARD documents the performance and innovative strength of the intralogistics industry and aims to contribute to the competitiveness and public image of the entire industry. For this reason, the nomination and selection process places the highest demands on the safety, technology, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, design and ergonomics of the equipment and solutions. <\/p>

The IFOY AWARD is sponsored by the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association.<\/p>

The sponsor has no say in the election and the operational business.
In strategic issues and when making directional decisions, the opinion of the responsible body must be heard and taken into account wherever possible. This includes <\/p>

  1. Major changes to categories\/introduction of new categories<\/li>
  2. Significant change to the election mode or evaluation criteria<\/li>
  3. Admission of new jury members<\/li>
  4. Amendment of the Articles of Association<\/li><\/ol>

    The institution is required to respond\/decide promptly, but no later than 10 working days after a request.<\/p>

    2. Committees – Jury<\/p>

    The jury is made up of international trade journalists. They select the winners each year and represent the organization in public. Each jury member supports the IFOY AWARD in an idealistic way, supports and promotes the goals of the IFOY organization and accompanies all activities within the scope of editorial possibilities and while maintaining journalistic independence. <\/p>

    The members of the jury are required to represent the award in a worthy manner. They are also required to provide editorial support during the voting phases and to write an appropriate report and commentary on the winners after the official announcement of the winner. <\/p>

    The duties and tasks of the jury include<\/p>

    1. Nomination and election<\/li>
    2. Participation in the jury meetings<\/li>
    3. Participation in the IFOY Audit (jury tour and individual testing of each finalist)<\/li>
    4. Representation of the IFOY AWARD in public<\/li>
    5. Generation of publicity<\/li>
    6. Further development of the IFOY AWARD<\/li>
    7. Proposal of new jury members<\/li><\/ol>

      2.1. Jury membership and appointment
      The jury should include the leading media of the international logistics press. The number of jury members in each country is based on the importance of the intralogistics market. A publisher can only be represented on the jury by one person\/vote in each country.<\/p>

      The members of the jury must be independent and may not be directly economically dependent on a manufacturer or retailer. Membership is linked to a journalistic activity in logistics and is reserved for the most recognized publications or journalists. <\/p>

      The jury, advisory board and sponsors can propose new jury members. Publishers can also apply for membership. The application should be sent informally by e-mail to the IFOY organization’s office. <\/p>

      The jury decides on the admission of new jury members by a simple majority of the votes cast. The jury is required to further develop the panel, to fill vacant jury positions as quickly as possible and to apply the highest standards when reappointing members. <\/p>

      The sponsor has the right to veto the appointment of new jury members. A statement of reasons is mandatory. <\/p>

      2.2. Substitution rule
      Each member of the jury has the right to nominate a deputy within the editorial team to represent and support him\/her in all rights and duties. The deputy must be an editor or journalist.
      The deputy exercises the right to vote.<\/p>

      The proxy is appointed for the duration of a term of office. He\/she must be reappointed annually and notified to the Executive Jury Chairperson. If a member of the jury wishes to be represented on official occasions, the proxy must be notified to the Executive Jury Chair with sufficient advance notice. <\/p>

      2.3. External consultants
      Each member of the jury has the right to put together a group of specialists and advisors to advise him\/her on the choice. These persons may not be directly dependent on a manufacturer or retailer and must be notified to the Executive Jury Chair in good time.<\/p>

      The Executive Jury Chair decides on the admission of consultants.<\/p>

      The advisors are bound by confidentiality, have no voting rights, and may not participate in the jury meetings.

      2.4. Honorary membership
      The jury may award former jury members and persons who have rendered outstanding services to the IFOY AWARD an honorary lifetime membership of the jury. The title “Honorary Member of the IFOY Jury” is not associated with voting rights or participation in jury meetings.
      A simple majority is sufficient for election as an honorary member.<\/p>

      2.5. Duration of jury membership and exclusion
      The jury membership of a juror\/publisher is linked to the function of the jury member and the media he\/she represents. It automatically lapses when the juror leaves their professional position or if the business model of the publisher or the media they represent undergoes a fundamental change.
      This is the case, for example, if<\/p>

      1. circulation and publication methods as well as target groups and editorial concepts have changed fundamentally<\/li>
      2. the magazine\/medium no longer meets the requirements of a leading medium<\/li>
      3. the magazine\/medium is discontinued<\/li><\/ol>

        Jury members are obliged to notify the Executive Jury Chair of any fundamental changes that affect the basis of jury membership.<\/p>

        2.6. Extraordinary exclusion of a jury member is possible upon special request (in writing to the Managing Jury Chairperson). The procedure is based on point 7.
        Jury members may be excluded if the jury member<\/p>

        1. neglects or fails to fulfill the obligation to vote<\/li>
        2. disregards the confidentiality rule<\/li>
        3. neglects his duties and tasks from 1.2. <\/li>
        4. no longer supports the objectives of IFOY<\/li>
        5. disregard the statutes of the IFOY<\/li>

          3. Committees – Advisory Board<\/p>

          The Advisory Board has the task of advising the IFOY organization on technical matters and content, with the aim of jointly developing the IFOY AWARD for the future and providing expert answers to questions.<\/p>

          Intralogistics is an extremely large and technologically complex field of expertise. In order to further develop the IFOY AWARD with maximum technological and market expertise and to be able to discuss and answer specific questions in a well-founded manner, the advisory board is put together by the sponsor as a non-permanent body as required.
          Its respective members are to represent the international intralogistics community (suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, associations and organizations).<\/p>

          The Advisory Board has no say in the election and operational business. However, his professional expertise and opinion is expressly desired.

          4. Committees – Executive Jury Chairperson<\/p>

          The Executive Jury Chairperson is appointed by the parent company of the IFOY organization (impact media projects GmbH).
          He\/she is a full member of the jury with voting rights.
          In addition, he\/she oversees all activities and operations of the IFOY organization.
          He\/she acts as a link between the jury and the advisory board and as a contact person for cooperation partners.<\/p>

          The duties of the office include all organizational and representative tasks as well as communication tasks of the IFOY organization. These include: <\/p>

          1. Operational management and control of all activities of the IFOY organization<\/li>
          2. Operational implementation of the election and all associated communication and organizational tasks<\/li>
          3. Chairing jury meetings<\/li>
          4. Contact for cooperation partners<\/li>
          5. Operation of the website<\/li>
          6. Management of internal and external communication (information for committees, press and public relations work)<\/li>
          7. Formulation of the official statement about the winners<\/li>
          8. Invitation to new jury members<\/li>
          9. Monitoring the Articles of Association<\/li>
          10. Budget management<\/li>

            5. Committees – permanent member of the jury “Elder Statesman”<\/p>

            The sponsor has the right to delegate a permanent member to the jury.<\/p>

            This person may not be directly dependent on a manufacturer or dealer. He\/she has access to all jury election documents, the right to participate in all jury meetings and can be consulted in an advisory capacity on technical issues. <\/p>

            The permanent member has no voting rights.

            6 Conditions of participation and categories<\/p>

            6.1. Conditions of participation
            Manufacturers and intralogistics providers can apply for the IFOY AWARD with one or more products or solutions.
            For each product submitted, a test device must be provided at the customer’s own expense.
            Application and nomination for the final are subject to conditions. These are:<\/p>

            1. The products must be a new development or the product must show significant technical improvements compared to the previous models.<\/li>
            2. Further developments and special models with significant innovations are permitted. There is no time limit for customer solutions. <\/li>
            3. The product must be in production and available for order at the time of the award ceremony. A submitted customer solution must have been implemented. <\/li>
            4. A study, a prototype, a blueprint or a minor visual facelift are not enough.<\/li>
            5. The current application formalities are published by the office. In case of doubt, the Executive Jury Chair decides on the admission of an application. <\/li>

              6.2. Categories
              The IFOY AWARD is presented in various categories. The current list of categories is published annually. The categories serve as orientation for applicants. They are intended to provide an overview of the entire range of intralogistics products and solutions. The IFOY organization decides on the final designation of the annual categories and the final classification of applicants in consultation with the test teams.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

              7. Voting mode and evaluation criteria<\/p>

              The winners are chosen once a year. Voting takes place online in a closed voting area that is accessible to the jurors and the test teams. The IFOY organization provides the jurors with expos\u00e9s of the approved applicants.
              The voting mode is two-stage.<\/p>

              1. Nomination for the final
                In the first round of voting, the jury usually nominates up to five products\/concepts per year in each category from all the applications received and pre-screened, which are announced to the public. A fee is charged for nominated products. Manufacturers and intralogistics providers may submit one or more products or solutions for the IFOY AWARD.
                Further details are regulated in the GTC.<\/li>
              2. Election

                The jury evaluates all finalists on the basis of their professional expertise and knowledge of the market. Only the members of the jury are entitled to vote.

                    The application is free of charge. Fees will be charged for nominations for the final.
                    All fees can be found in the current price list of the IFOY organization (www.IFOY.org).<\/p>

                    Further details are regulated in the GTC.<\/p>

                    Manufacturers have the right to use all logos, images and texts of the organization for their reporting and advertising without any restrictions in terms of time and space and subject to copyright.<\/p>

                    11. Code of Conduct<\/p>

                    The IFOY committees, the testers and innovation checkers are committed to presenting the performance and innovative strength of the intralogistics industry and want to contribute to its competitiveness and improve its public image.<\/p>

                    It is their task to provide professional guidance for intralogistics decisions. To this end, they provide editorial and content support for the IFOY AWARD. The following rules must be observed: <\/p>

                    The members of the committees and testers are neutral and give their assessments\/votes to the best of their knowledge and belief and on the basis of professional expertise.<\/p>

                    It is not permitted to link voting or a test to economic or other objectives other than those specified in the IFOY AWARD statutes.<\/p>

                    All finalists and winners will be treated equally.
                    In particular, individual companies are not highlighted or disadvantaged arbitrarily or for economic reasons in the jury’s reporting.<\/p>

                    Benefits that are likely to influence the vote are considered a violation of the principle of independence and will be punished.<\/p>

                    Any conflicts of interest and violations must be reported to the IFOY organization immediately. The contact person is the Executive Jury Chair. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

                    12. Extraordinary exclusion from a body and exclusion proceedings<\/p>

                    A violation of the Code of Conduct or of the obligations arising from these statutes can lead to extraordinary exclusion from an IFOY committee.
                    Extraordinary exclusion of a member from an IFOY committee is only possible upon special request (in writing to the Executive Jury Chair). The sponsor, the Executive Jury Chair and a group of at least three jurors or three manufacturers are entitled to do so. <\/p>

                    In the event of an exclusion procedure, the sponsor and the jury send equal numbers of representatives to a committee before which the parties are heard. The committee is composed as follows: <\/p>
