Such innovations are constantly emerging from technological advances based on proven principles or existing technologies. For this reason, the nominated products and solutions are never compared directly with each other in the test series, but are always evaluated in the context of currently comparable market solutions &#8211; regardless of whether they have applied or not. This ensures an objective assessment of performance and degree of innovation.  <\/p><p data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"1060\"><strong data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"801\">The IFOY Innovation Check<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"1060\">The central evaluation criterion and part 1 of the IFOY Audit is the IFOY Innovation Check. Richard Bormann<\/strong>, Head of the Handling Processes and Intralogistics Research Group, Fraunhofer IPA, Stuttgart.<br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipa.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\">Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA)<\/a> is one of the largest institutes within the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and conducts applied research in the fields of production organization, automation, robotics, logistics, surface technology and process engineering.<\/li><li><strong>Dipl.-Ing. Guido Follert<\/strong>, Head of the Machines and Systems Department, Fraunhofer IML, Dortmund.<br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iml.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\">Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML)<\/a> is one of the leading institutions for applied logistics research. The expertise of the Dortmund scientists is particularly in demand for the development of new technologies for intralogistics. <\/li><li><strong>Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner<\/strong>, Chair of Materials Handling Material Flow Logistics, School of Engineering and Design, Technical University of Munich.<br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mec.ed.tum.de\/en\/fml\/about-the-chair\/\">Chair of Materials Handling Material Flow Logistics (fml)<\/a> at the Technical University of Munich sees itself as an open research institution that makes a significant contribution to scientific progress in the fields of material flow technology and logistics. Research focuses on intralogistics, robotics, crane technology, construction logistics and bulk goods logistics. <\/li><li><strong>Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Thorsten Schmidt<\/strong>, Chair of Logistics Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dresden University of Technology.<br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/ing\/maschinenwesen\/itla\">Institute of Technical Logistics<\/a> at the TU Dresden specializes in the design and development of internal production and logistics systems as well as the optimization of technical systems for internal material flow and conveyor technology.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>The IFOY Test<\/strong><\/p><p>Part 2 of the IFOY Audit is the IFOY Test, which the nominated industrial trucks undergo. This is based on the Andersom test by Dutch specialist journalist Theo Egberts and has the largest comparative database of independent test data in Europe. It is regarded as the benchmark in the industry and allows each nominated truck to be benchmarked against comparable trucks on the market.   <\/p><p>The test protocol includes measurable and soft factors. The IFOY Test focuses on the practical use of forklift trucks.
